Pool Enclosures in DeLand, Florida

DeLand is an inland county-seat community with mature tree cover and a mix of older and newer homes. Sun, humidity, falling twigs, leaf debris, and afternoon storms can age roof and wall panels at different rates.

A torn panel, a cage full of brittle mesh, and bent aluminum are three different problems. Homeowners should first identify whether they need panel replacement, full rescreening, or structural evaluation. Permit questions should be directed to City of DeLand Building Division; requirements depend on the exact address and scope.

What Kind of Pool Enclosure Company Do You Need?

New Pool Cage Construction

Use an appropriately licensed contractor for a new structure, major framing, or a combined pool-and-enclosure project.

Full Pool Cage Rescreening

Choose this when mesh across many roof and wall panels is brittle, loose, or repeatedly failing.

Individual Pool Screen Repair

Replace complete panels when damage is isolated and the surrounding mesh remains serviceable.

Structural Pool Cage Repair

Bent, cracked, or moving aluminum needs assessment by a contractor qualified for that structural scope.

Do You Need a New Pool Enclosure or Just New Screen?

Replace Panels

A few tears, pet damage, or mesh pulled from spline can often be handled one full panel at a time.

Rescreen the Cage

Widespread brittleness, sagging, and recurring tears make a complete rescreen easier to price and maintain.

Request Structural Evaluation

Misaligned doors, damaged members, loose sections, or major storm damage should not be diagnosed as a mesh-only issue.

What Type of Screen Is Best for a Pool Cage in DeLand?

Mesh choice should reflect airflow, insects, pets, panel location, and budget. Sun, humidity, falling twigs, leaf debris, and afternoon storms can age roof and wall panels at different rates.

Phifer 18×14 Pool & Patio Screen

Phifer describes 18×14 as a traditional pool-and-patio mesh that keeps out most insects and allows cooling breezes while resisting windblown debris.

Phifer 20×20 No-See-Um Screen

The tighter weave targets smaller insects such as no-see-ums, gnats, and sand flies. It remains ventilated but can feel different from a more open mesh.

Do not assume every contractor uses the same manufacturer or product. Require the proposal to name the mesh and weave.

How to Choose a Pool Enclosure Company in DeLand, FL

Verify the Florida License

Search Florida DBPR and match the active classification to the structural, pool, roofing, or specialty work proposed.

Ask for Insurance

Request a current certificate rather than relying only on a website statement.

Check Business History

Keep legal entity age, operating history, contractor experience, and family trade background as separate facts.

Read BBB Status Carefully

A company can have a BBB profile without being BBB Accredited. Search the exact legal or trade name.

Get a Written Scope

Identify mesh, weave, spline, panel count, doors, structural work, cleanup, permits, and any offered warranty.
